Our first time experiencing charcoal AYCE BBQ and I am so glad it was at SK Korean BBQ. Get ready to smell smoky asf! Try to make a reservation as they get BUSY! Menu: https://www.skkoreanbbq.com/menu Overview: Food: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Parking: 8/10 Favorite: Wagyu Brisket Pepper Pork Belly FOOD: 9/10 The quality of the meats was yummy both non-seasoned and seasoned. We underestimated how HOT the charcoal grill was. You can feel the heat even when you're not flipping the meats which honestly, the heat was a bit overwhelming but it was so nice getting the perfect grill marks on the meats. It was nice not having to deal with the standard KBBQ grills having to be switched and burnt constantly so the charcoal grill was a nice experience. The banchan/side dish platter was SO fresh, flavorful, and genius. I loved how it was a big plate of different compartments. The soy-marinated potatoes were my favorite!!!! SERVICE: 10/10 I was so fond of how kind and attentive the staff were. They constantly checked on our table, refilled our water, checked our grill, and cleaned up our table often to get empty dishes out of the way, it was wonderful. It irks my soul when people say "They're just trying to get a nice tip". Well, I rather have attentive staff who deserve tips than non-attentive staff. Make it make sense y'all if you have something to say! AMBIANCE: 8/10 The ambiance was not something I paid much attention to as I was so fixated on the first-time experience of using a majorly hot charcoal grill. I would say it was a standard average KBBQ spot. The KPop jams were a vibe and I was singing along to a lot of it. The cleanliness was very attended to. It is not a small or big KBBQ joint. PARKING: 8/10 Located on the main street of El Camino, parking is very hit or miss. You can try to park around the corner through the residency neighborhoods but those were pretty packed as well.

Reservations: A must, the place was VERYYY busy. Cleanliness: the restaurant was extremely clean. Service: Our server was attentive and quick, including changing out the grills. Portions: the portion size was extremely small per round. Flavor: The flavors were good, wished the spicy was hotter. Soup: Good and slightly spicy Ban Chan plate was quite small for three adults. Heat: The grill was flaming hot and allowed you to cook meat faster and caramelize some of the pieces if you like crispier pieces like pork. This made our experience better. Smoke: YES ITS SMOKEY AND ITS TO BE EXPECTED.. Ambiance: I LOVED THE GRILL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TABLE!! Best grill we have used for Korean BBQ!! Drinks: Great Alcohol selection! Would I return? ABSOLUTELY!!

Great ayce place in San Bruno. The quality of the meats, banchan, and veg was really worth the price. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, with only street parking, but worth checking out. They have real coal bbq, so there is learning curve to cook. You might burn some meat but you will get the hang of things quick. Much hotter than other grills, but the end result has that great smoke and caramelization on your food. Yummy The staff were attentive and brought things out fast. Only problem was that there were only 2 people working the front- so some times there was a delay Only giving it 4 stars because the smoke is serious. You will leave smelling like bbq. Also parking took some time.

The smoked charcoal taste of the meat is so good!! They give you good enough meat probably so you won't over order and go to waste. Can order 4 meats at a time.
